I made this for my wonderful sister-in-law and her groom. He loves Notre Dame football, can you tell? =) This cake had to travel almost 2 hours. It didn't make it. I spent the night before the wedding reapplying the icing! I was faster the second time around. I did have fun blaming my cousin on the cake falling apart. She was so gullible and confused. =) It was scary getting it to the reception, but it made it! All nice and pretty at the reception... later, one of the wait staff broke part of the face mask. Grr...This was the groom's favorite - carrot cake and cream cheese filling. Iced with fondant and airbrushed with gold luster dust. The face mask was made of gumpaste.
